About us

Psychoanalysis is an association of analysts practising in the Lacanian orientation founded by Penny Georgiou. Psychoanalysis is a particular response to human distress. The encounter with the analyst enables you to speak about what concerns you, however trivial or strange it may seem. Our aim is to make this encounter accessible to those who seek it.

Practitioners have arrived to psychoanalytic practise, each with a singular and original combination of experience, training and interests. Each one is a member of the London Society of the New Lacanian School, a working community which takes up perrennial problems arising in the contemporary clinic through its programme of public seminars and other formative events each year. The New Lacanian School of Psychoanalysis, founded in 2003, is one of the Schools of the World Association of Psychoanalysis and functions across several countries to transmit and to develop the efficacy of Lacanian psychoanalysis as a response to human suffering.

The ethics of psychoanalysis are central to the practice of psychoanalysis in the Lacanian orientation.
